Great boogaloo from obscure group with some wonderful Latin Soul tunes – jumping percussive rhythms peppered with a lot of piano, and featuring some hard-wailing hornsolost hat cook up the groove nicely. The album`s got a rough edge that makes the playing sound even more compelling than you might think – and it`s filled with great numbers like the boogaloo cuts like "Senor Boogaloo" and "Boogaloo Carinoso", plus Latin jazz versions of "Caravan" and "Sunny" that both groove hard.
