All songs are composed by the celebrated Colombian poet Rafael Escalona by the end of the 1930`s. His sweet and pure songs became quite successful (El Testamento among others) during the 60`s in Argentina, my homeland. They reflect the habits and everyday customs of the Colombian country life telling real-life romantic stories and happenings of the time. They are performed by Bovea and his Vallenatos, one of the most famous Colombian folk groups of the time, perhaps the best. If you`re fond of genuine cumbias, sones, merengues and paseos you can buy this CD without hesitation.
