Salsa Salsa - Tito Puente
Up until now a very rare and hard to find audiophile digital recording of Tito Puente and his Orchestra, in Tito`s words playing Salsa Pure
After the first days recording Tito revelled in the new digital medium and invited a few of his friends, Dizzy Gillespie, Ray Barretto, Patato Valdez and Mongo Santamaria for the second days recording at Ralph Mercado`s club, Broadway 96 on Broadway and 96th street in New York city. It was a sight to see Tito and his 26 piece salsa orchestra, 6 trombones, 8 trumpets and 6 saxophones and the gods of latin music grooving along.
